POTENTIAL HAZMAT TRANSPORTATION PENALTIES IN COLUMBUS

Under the Columbus city statute relating to the transportation of hazmat materials, the violation is a misdemeanor of the first degree which could carry the following possible penalties: 

  1. Up to 180 days in jail; and/or

  2. A maximum fine in the amount of $1,000.
